"I started my training almost two years ago with Utah Helicopter. Thanks to their dedicated instructors and flexible scheduling I was able to finish the Career Pilot Program and become a Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII). Utah Helicopter gave me the opportunity to follow my dream of flying helicopters."

I’ve always wanted to fly for a living. While growing up my dad had an airplane.  I think that’s where it all started. After I got married and worked several different jobs, I found that I liked being outside and operating equipment. Helicopters seemed to fit both. My wife and parents gave me a demo flight at a school in Provo, UT and that sealed the deal! I knew that that was what I wanted to do. My dad always said, “Find a job you will enjoy and it won’t be a job…if you know what I mean.”
I got my private license in Saint George, UT with a different flight school. After getting my license I was short on money to continue and could not get a student loan to continue. I found I could get a loan if I had collateral so I bought a Cessna 152. As I was flying around the Sanpete Valley I heard a helicopter coming in to land so I made a radio call and asked which school they were from. The instructor came back on and told me all about this new school that opened in Spanish Fork, UT. A few...

"The flight training I received with Utah Helicopter allowed me to progress in my career as a pilot. I was flying in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, covering breaking news for CBS, NBC, and FOX. Now I'm instructing in these beautiful aircraft for the US Army and loving every minute of it. Dedicated flight instructors and a "pay-as-you-go" system was just what I needed to get my career off the ground."

"My experience with Utah Helicopter Academy was nothing but positive! I had received my Private, Instrument and Commercial ratings at another school in the area and went to UTH to obtain my Flight Instructor and Instrument Flight Instructor ratings. I was very impressed with Utah Helicopter and wish I would have started my flight training with them from the beginning. If you're looking at different schools in the area to get your training do not look any further! Utah Helicopter is a great school and they won't send you all over the country to get your training and take your check rides."
-Rachel Teater, UTH Graduate

“After going to high school I started college like most people do. There was only one problem I had a hard time trying to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I knew that whatever career I picked would have to be a job that I would love waking up and going to everyday. I continued to go to college for a few years and still wasn’t excited about any career field. One day I decided to go and check out Utah Helicopter of Idaho. A few days later I went on a demo flight and I was sold…I caught the flying bug! The first thing that impressed me about Utah Helicopter was the dedication that it had to its students. My instructors really cared if I succeeded or not. Now that I’m doing what I love to do, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I honestly feel bad for my friends who have to go to their office and push paper everyday and I get to go fly. Utah Helicopter has been a great school to help me reach my goals in the aviation world!”
